I Turned Her In: Big Boned Is Officially Submitted
I turned her in.
Big Boned — my first book, my realest story, my “I can’t believe I actually did this” project — is officially submitted.
There’s no ceremony, no confetti cannon. Just a quiet moment, a click, and me staring at my screen thinking, Well… that’s it.
It’s out of my hands now (mostly), and off to the next stages: cover art and formatting.
(Also known as: Let’s try to make this thing look as good as it reads, and try not to second-guess everything I’ve ever written.)
What Comes Next
Right now, I’m working with some brilliant creative minds to finalize the cover — a design that feels like me, and also like the story wants to be told. You only get one first impression, right?
And then there’s formatting — making sure every section, every header, every bit of spacing lives where it’s supposed to so the whole thing feels intentional. Because it is. This book was built in the margins of my real life, and now it’s becoming real in ways I can’t totally believe.
If You’re Following Along…
Thank you. Truly. Writing the book is one thing. Letting people read it? That’s a whole other level of vulnerability. But this is the good kind of scary.
The next time I update you, she’ll probably have a face (aka a cover) — and maybe even a release date.
Big Boned is coming. And I can’t wait to put her in your hands.
